I called the salon this morning at 10 am and walked in about 30 minutes later. After talking to the Assistant Manager there and talked to a representative of the company and showed the owner of another salon that also belongs to this company, they agreed to refund the...

Original review Nov 23, 2017
This salon is a horrible place. Yesterday (Today is 11/23, the Thanksgiving day) I came in and the stylist (she has blonde long hair, I forgot her name) treated me badly.

Besides rolling her eyes and having to ask her colleague how to make the hair on the back shorter, she said to me, "Your haircut has taken too much time and I have to charge you $10 more!" I asked "how much time did it take you?" then I looked into the clock and saw it was 1 hour and 15 minutes only. She continued to cut my hair (with the help of her colleague) and when I came home I found two holes on the back of my hair, which were so obvious that everyone who saw them said, "this is unacceptable." Through the haircut, she often asked me "so is this short enough" with impatient voice, and even her colleague said, "she wouldn't know, she cannot look at her own back." She rarely chatted with me and told me nothing about herself, and asked me about my name, phone number, workplace, area, twice. These, together with her mean attitude, also scared me. I thought it was holiday season so though she treated me so badly I tipped her decent amount, and she was so excited and repeated to me, "Oh, thank you so much!" seemed she also knew she didn't deserve it.

I thought, well, her attitude was bad, but as long as she could do it fine and I didn't want to change the salon as time was limited. I tipped her because it was holiday and I hoped everyone had a good mood. And she did this unbearable thing to me.

Two holes on the back of my hair, carrying them through my holidays and cannot even find an open salon to fix it. Does she have any consciousness?

Worst haircut and salon experience, ever.

I arrived on time for my 10:00 appointment yesterday at the salon in Plover, WI. The gal I made my appointment with had taken a walk-in at 10:00 in stead of me. The salon opens at 10:00, I was to be her first customer. No acknowledgement from her at all. I said I'd wait for her to finish. That was my first mistake. The gal that did cut my hair was totally inexperienced and in my opinion should not be allowed to cut hair. Emily is her name. She repeatedly twirled her scissors (like a gun slinger) perilously close to my eyes. My heart was racing, was I going to be stabbed? She sprayed me in the face over and over with water, cut my hair so unevenly and much shorter than I asked for. I needed my neck cleaned up and my ears cut out. The wispy pieces in front of my ear were very uneven. One was at least 1/2" shorter than the other and now they are both way to short. It is a complete *** job. Whoever is the manager didn't step up in my open and offer any kind of solution of than, blaming the fact on someone else. I was greeted by someone, but the whole salon was very unprofessional. I will never, ever go there and am encouraging others to never go there. Emily's small talk was horrifying and Courtney (who I made the appointment with in person) didn't even acknowledge me. The worst customer service ever.

My Hair Was A Disaster & Nothing Was Fixed

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I’m giving it a 1 star due to who did my hair. Her name is Tara. My mother in law for my 21st birthday gift paid a lot of money for me to get a perm. I had wanted one for years and was so excited to finally get one. It turned out horribly. My hair was nowhere as curly as the picture I showed her. My perm did not even last 2 weeks and they are supposed to last 6 months! My hair started falling out too. I was so disappointed because it was what I had always wanted and I felt bad my mother in law paid so much to have it done and I didn’t turn out like I was told it would. I got in contact with Tara and told her all of this. She said she would fix it and I wouldn’t have to pay anything. Well I’ve tried to plan a time for that for over 2 months now and this whole past week I have called, left voicemails, and texted and she has not answered me once. She is intentionally not keeping her word and ignoring me. I’m very upset that she’s not being true to her word and that my mother in laws money will have gone to waste. If you get your hair done here do not let her do your hair.

Regis at oaks mall, gainesville, fl. awful place! Yesterday I had an appointment at the regis in the oaks mall at 3:30 to get a relaxer done. after coming in 20 minutes early, i was met at the front desk by a very rude red haired woman who i had met once before. in our first encounter she told my white friend next to me that she had beautiful hair and turned to me and said "you would be dreaming to think you will ever have good hair". i took what she said with a grain of salt hoping i would never have to speak to her again. she looked at me right when i walked in and in a very rude way she said "what do you want". i told her i wanted the relaxer she had told me about a month prior & she told me to sit and wait for the woman who will do my hair. after a few minutes of waiting, the red head walked up to me and told me i had to do a $200, 6 hour treatment instead and refused to explain to me why. after asking her many times, she would only answer in very vague and condescending ways. eventually a very nice black woman took the time to talk to me and explain the treatments. the woman with red hair suddenly ordered the black woman to stop talking to me and help the "paying customers" although i was a paying customer with an appointment. the woman who was supposed to be doing my hair came to me and didn't speak to me much except to say that my hair will never be as good as hers. she then began to explain that "people like me" will never have hair like white people. she spoke to me as if i was a child slowly telling me i have "ethnic hair" and there's not "magic miracle" to cure the mess i had, suggesting ethnic hair is disgusting and an unfixable curse. she then left the salon and the red haired woman turned her back to me. i sat and waited another 20 minutes before getting up and asking what i was waiting for since it was now almost 5 pm. the red haired woman turned to me and said "no one knows what you're waiting for, no one can make your ethnic hair happy here. you expect to have beautiful silky hair but people like you will never be able to have that." i began to try to explain to her that all i needed was a relaxer then she put her finger in my face and told me to leave because neither she nor anybody in "her" salon will do my "ethnic hair". each time the black woman tried to speak to me the red haired woman shushed her and told her not to speak to "people like me". is this a hate crime? discrimination?

Awful Experience at Southpark Mall

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I just took my daughter to have her trimmed. There were two ladies working there at the time.

They were both cutting hair and the one who greeted us was very annoyed she had to stop what she was doing to ask what we wanted. I asked if she, or the other lady, had time for a hair trim. She told us to come back in an hour. We came back and she came out of the back room very annoyed we were five minutes early.

She rolled her eyes and acted as if we were a complete nuisance. She was not cutting anyone's hair at the time and walked up to the other lady who was cutting hair. She told her she booked us an hour ago. The lady said she couldn't cut my daughter's hair for 15 minutes.

Needless to say we didn't bother going back.

That is an hour of my life I can't get back! I would NEVER go back again and will be telling other people in the community about our experience.

New "manager in training" Rebecca

I have been going here for 15 years...Always an excellent, professional experience with EVERYONE except for now..there is a new girl, Rebecca..she is loud, runs around the salon like a chicken with her head cut off, cleans stations while stylists are working (all the stylists have kept their areas very clean for the 15 years I have been going), mops the floor by the hair washing station while it is being used , puts up a sign and goes back to running around... the floor remains wet for at least 30 min. After several back surgeries and brain surgery I do not want to slip and fall. Shouldn't she be doing this before and after the salon is open? My stylist and I had to wait 20 min. a few weeks ago for her to come and open. That was a Sat. She has left early several nights I have been there without giving the stylists notice. This is no longer a relaxing experience for me!! If it doesn't change I WILL find another place to spend my money.

Gift Certificates not being honored-still!!!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I bought my mother a gift certificate for a haircut and when she went to the salon in April was told you folks bought the Regis salons and would honor the gift certificates as soon as the computer system was changed over. We paid in cash but were very disappointed. Went back today 9/26/17 and was told you still were not honoring the gift certificates and the salon keeps asking you and are getting nowhere. We left the salon and are feeling very ripped off. I will make sure to tell everyone I know not to frequent your salons as your business practices seem dishonest. Isn't stealing a crime?? If you bought the business from Regis you must have had some discussion on how to work this out. Shame on you.

The manager can't do black hair

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I went last week to get my hair done at Regis at Mid Rivers Mall St. Perter Missouri. The manager and staff was rude, one black stylish refused to do my hair, so the so-called manager on duty decided that she would wash/condition and style my hair. The sink bowl flooded I had to sit there with the floor filled with water. First, the wash and condition was of sub-standard, but when she started to style it she didn't know how to straighten African American hair, she keep apologizing saying I don't know how to press or style your hair. My hair look a child had played in my hair. I had to show her how to flat iron my hair and to style it-she is unfit to be a stylish, and last but not least, she charged me full price even tough I had to style my own hair. BE AWARE!

Regis Westfield Brandon fl-they don't listen

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I've been going to Regis for years and most of my experiences have either been good or neutral. The second to last time I went, the girl who cut my hair cut layers that I didn't ask for into my reverse bob. I went back yesterday to Christina and clearly mentioned that I wanted to keep the length I had in the front, wanted a more distinct angle, and didn't want the layers to be cut. Somehow she took that to mean that she should find the shortest layer I have and cut all of my hair that short. I lost most of the angle and most of the length I had in the front. I'm not sure what's going on there these days, but be careful - they don't listen to what you want. My family gets me gift cards ( which makes no sense, since they are paid for out of my account anyway - another issue altogether). I've told them never to buy me another one again and once they are used up, I will never go to that place again!

Tyler Texas Regis Salon Messed up my Hair

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I am dis-satisfied with my service at this the Tyler Texas Regis salon. My reasons are;

Mind you.

It was my birthday gift (to myself)-When I called the salon to request a color, I was told to go ahead and come in to the salon to get it done. I get there and Gita is the stylist seemed very nice, very sweet however. When I asked her “Why did you go to hair school” (as I a lot of stylists because I have a passion for doing hair as well) Her response was “it’s a fast money”. Usually when a stylist responds it’s “because I LOVE doing hair”.

I SHOULD have just walked out right then and there, BUT I was confident in her doing my hair, as she is at a professional salon. I then felt like I was a burden because the two other girls that were in the salon were talking out loud “all these people keep walking in here all late and stuff” like It was my fault here were there (at their JOB). Also I notice a completely different stylist also had a customer coming back in because her hair also was highly dissatisfied with her color and needed a correction. While she was applying my color I noticed that the other hair dresser came over to see the process of my color, and she asked to see a picture of what I wanted.

She bluntly states “you know that you are not going to get that color right, like, you told her right that she was not going to be able to achieve this color!?” (Speaking to me and Gita) I said “No… No one said they couldn’t do it” (if so they should have said something instead of trying to make a quick dollar) and Gita said nothing and shrugged her shoulders.. That whole situation right there made me nervous. After she was finished, I could not necessarily see the color yet because my hair was still wet. As she was drying my hair her children were yelling out in the mall for her through the glass “Moooooom..

Mooooooom” and I just felt like she was rushing and didn’t even want her to cut my hair because I just felt some type pf way. Anyways. That night I went home and started crying after I was able to look a the complete picture. My hair was orangey, unevenly colored.

Just Ugly. I NEVER EVER EVER get my hair done or anything like that, and for this to happen  it was horrible. I went back up there to have the manager Ashley who fixed my hair. For the most part she seemed like she knew that she was doing.

It seemed like she cut my hair good. But as she was doing my hair another stylist was stating how some lady client was coming in here looking for her to get HER money back due to her also being dis satisfied and her and the stylist were just like :whatever”:. I get home that night, and take a closer look at my hair, and it is UNEVEN, Unevenly colored and the color bleed through, just a mess. I am just over this.

I would just look to please get my money back for the services rendered at this salon. I have requested this refund form the salon on a Corporate level. I have NOT received a call back after being PROMISED a call back after 24-48 hours form the District Manager. I called on Monday 10/17/2016 after having it done on my Birthday 10/15.

I am very upset. AND I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE ever again.

Yes the stylist attitude was *** but I can tell you this. Your base is pretty dark ( idk if it's box or natural so bare with me) it's will pull gold undertones.

If it's box it will take more than one sitting to achieve a light blonde. But that orange could have been toned to a more natural shade. If your hair is naturally dark she didn't let it lift enough and didn't tone it either. But that dark is most likely going to pull brassy but can be toned nicely..

shame. Wish I could help!

I jumped the gun.. I took a better look at the picks..

that is not a fresh color or cut. That is a kitchen beautician balayage with a *** ton of breakage.. then wanted a color correction. Your birthday doesn't have anything to do with the fact that you screwed your hair up and then expected a hairstylist to wave a magic wand and fix your mistake.

At our salon a color correction is SUPER EXPENSIVE. Birthday or not. Anyway you later decided after paying for the service that you couldn't really afford it so what do you do?? You complain to get a refund.

Girl stop. This happens all the time.

It attitudes like yours that should be fired on the spot . There is one thing massively lacking in these so called training schools and that is Manners and Proffesionlism .

Justbuy your reply you sound like you have neither. Yes it was for her birthday big deal for her obviously not for you. If she wants her money back because you don’t know how to do hair she gets it back end of. You need to go have some lessons on how to speak to ppl .

Your rude and ignorant.

Just your mouth alone would ask me for my money back . So unprofessional .

I am a customer of Ashley's and she has been doing my hair for three years now. She does an amazing job every time.

She is always attentive to my needs and is very respectful to the guests and staff. Amazing stylist

WOW! I'm a guy with no training and I have dyed my hair way better than that (frosted tips and full blonde from dark brown) I have also cut my own hair (which takes a while) and I had much better lines and blending.

I would have called Homeland Security and had them sent to Gitmo, these people are hair-terrorists.

I feel for you, they should return your money plus at least $1k in pain and suffering, call a lawyer and start a blog using blogger and just write about the company, keep writing so it gets found in the search engines and then they will pay you to take it down, don't offer a quid pro quo or that will seem like blackmail. That and picket the place with a sign saying this is what they did to my hair.

Wow. Just wow.

I'm a color specialist and salon owner. I am is disbelief they could actually let you walk out like this, let alone charge you. Very sorry you had to have such an awful experience. Clearly the stylist needs way more training, and the manager as well.

I worked for this company early in my career and remember having managers fresh from beauty school. They paid so poorly no seasoned stylist would take the position.

Wish you lived closer to Maryland because I would happily fix your color for free. Hope you at least got a refund :(
